As per the NHAI (National Highway Authority of India), from 1 December 2019 onward FASTag (RFID) will be mandatory for CAR/ JEEP/ BUS/ MINI Bus/ VAN or any commercial or public vehicle in India. What is NHAI FASTag?
The FASTag Sticker is a simple & reusable tag that works on radio-frequency identification technology (RFID). From 1 Dec 2019, NHAI has asked Vehicle owners to get FASTag as a mandatory similar to Vehicle Insurance. The FRID Based FASTag can be affixed on the vehicle’s windscreen. Each tag is linked to a registered mobile number/ Wallet (PayTM/ SBI/ AXIS Bank/ ICICI or any other mode of Payment) for instant automatic deduction of toll charges. This program is part of the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) initiative, rolled out by NPCI under the guidelines of NHAI & IHMCL.

Answer: You have an active tag – you can check it under the “Manage Tags” section in your FASTag sub-wallet or You have a sufficient amount (at least Rs 150 for Car/Jeep/Van) in your Paytm/FASTag wallet.

I am using PayTM Fastag on my Car. The Toll-Plaza at Jaipur Sikar Highway is RFID is not working. So what is the use of FASTag.
Please solve my issue. I am complaining about Toll-Plaza service.

As you are facing issue with the RFID Scanner/ Handheld device at Toll-Plaza so you need to report it to the incharge of Toll-Plaza. If he/ she is not ready to help you. You can always reach to the NHAI Toll-Plaza Customer Care support for that. Paytm is not responsible for the RFID Scanners.
