Add UPI Account in WhatsApp Pay App

Note: There is no separate App or APK for WhatsApp UPI. Just enable your UPI Feature via the below steps:

To add your bank account:

1. Go to WhatsApp App >>> Tap on More options > Settings > Payments > Add new account.
2. Tap Accept and Continue to accept our Payments Terms and Privacy Policy.
3. From the list of banks, tap the name of your bank.
4. Tap Verify via SMS > Allow. If WhatsApp already has permission to make and manage phone calls, you won’t need to grant permission.
5. Tap the bank account you want to add to send and receive payments with WhatsApp.
6. Tap Done.

User hasn’t received the payment via UPI?
Answer: If the payment is complete, but your contact hasn’t received the money, check that you’ve sent the payment to the correct contact.

• It can take up to 4 business days for the transfer to complete. To get more information on the status of your payment, contact WhatsApp support. To contact support, tap the payment message > Help.

My Transaction was failed but money deducted. What is the refund process and when I will receive
Answer: If payment wasn’t completed, the app will notify you. Your bank should process a refund in up to 4 business days. Please check your bank account to check the status.

In some cases, you may need to contact support from within the app. To contact support, tap the payment message > Help.

Unable to add bank account on WhasApp

Not able to find the UPI – PAYMENT Tab on the WhatsApp, Follow the steps given below. To Activate/ Enable WhatsApp UPI.

STEP 1: UPDATE the WhatsApp App.
STEP 2: Clear the Cache (Stop the App)
STEP 3: Now, you can check “PAYMENT” – Activate UPI.

If you can’t find your bank in the list, make sure your bank supports UPI.

If you’re having issues adding your bank account, check the following:

• Your WhatsApp number and the phone number linked to your bank account is the same. If not, contact your bank.
• You selected the correct bank.
• You can send and receive SMS.
• Your phone has a reliable Internet connection.
• If you have a joint or NRI (Non-Resident Indian) account, it may not be supported. Contact your bank for more information.
• If you have a dual SIM phone on a version of Android less than 5.0: Open your phone’s Settings > Make sure the SIM set as default matches the phone number you use for WhatsApp.
