Eligibility Required

Education Qualification: Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Class XII or Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate as well as in English in Class XII or equivalent examination.

Age Limit:
Candidates born between 19 January 1999 and 01 January 2003 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally

Medical Standards: 

(i) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm. (ii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age. (iii) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) shall not be acceptable. (iv) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

(v) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. (vi) Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

What is the selection process of Indian Air Force Airmen Group-Y Rally 2019?
Answer: For the Aimen Group-Y Non-Technical selection at Indian Air Force, you have to go through following stages (a) Physical Fitness Test (PFT). (b) Written Test (c) Adaptability Test-1 (d) Adaptability Test-2 (e)  Medical Examination.

What is the marking scheme in AIF Airmen Rally 2019?
Answer: The written examination for Airmen Group-Y Non-Tech, Auto Technician, Police at AIF is given here: (a) 1 mark for every correct answer. (ii) Nil (0) marks for un-attempted question and (iii) 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer or choosing more than one option as answer.

What do mean by Adaptability Test-I and Test-2 for Air Force Airmen Group-Y Rally Exam 2019?
Answer: The candidates who pass the Written Test shall undertake Adaptability Test-1 and the one who pass the Adaptability Test-1 will go through Adaptability Test-2 on the same or subsequent day depending on the local conditions.
Adaptability Test – 1 is to assess suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.
Adaptability Test-2 is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.

When is the Medical Examination will be held for Air Force Airmen Rally 2019?
Answer: Indian Air Force Airmen Group-Y written test and PET/ Adaptability Test-I and II are held in February and March. All the candidates who are qualified in the Adaptability test-2 are called for the Medical Examination.

What is the work of Auto Technician and Air Force Police?
Answer: Indian Air Force  Automobile Technician has to drive all types of light, medium and heavy automobiles, load carriers and specialist vehicles like cranes, towing tractors, fork lifters etc., subject to service exigencies. You will also carry out minor repairs, day to day maintenance and basic level servicing of the common user vehicles and specialist vehicles in the Indian Air Force inventory whereas Indian Air Force (Police) has responsibilities involve assuming police duties and investigation of offences. You are also in-charge of maintenance of security.

What is the Salary of Airmen Group-Y Non-Tech, Auto Technician in the Govt 7th Pay Commission?
Answer: As per the 7th Pay Commission rules, the Salary of Indian Air Force Airmen Group-C, will get a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) shall be Rs. 26,900/- per month plus Dearness Allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Other allowances such as Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, HRA etc. shall also be admissible to Airmen, as per relevant Government instructions.

Answer: If you are attending Air Force Rally for Airmen Group-Y Non-Technical post, following are the documents to carry.

  • HB Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener, Gum tube, Stapler and Black/Blue Ball Point Pen for writing.
  • Seven un-attested recent (taken not before January 2019) passport size colour photographs (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his Name and Date of Photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
  • Original and four self-attested photocopies of Matriculation Passing Certificate (required for Date of Birth verification).
  • Original and four self-attested photocopies of Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination Passing Certificate and Marks Sheet.
  • Original and four self-attested photocopies of Domicile Certificate (or) Original and four self-attested photocopies of duly filled Son of Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) Certificate (format available on AFNET CASB webpage) for Sons of serving Air Force personnel (or) Original and four self-attested photocopies of Service Book/Discharge Book/Causality Service Certificate/Service Particular certificate (issued from DPO-3/DAV, as applicable) in case of Officer/Airmen/NCs(E) and a certificate duly signed by OIC Civil Admin and countersigned by CO/C Adm O of the last served unit, in case of civilians for sons of retired/ deceased/ discharged Air Force Personnel and proof of minimum stay of one year as per Para 5 (d) above. .
  • Candidates discharged from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Any other Government Organisation. Original and four Self-attested photocopies of Discharge Certificate (as issued from Indian Army/Indian Navy/Government Organisation).
  • NOC in original and four self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable).
  • Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate (if applicable).
